About the Speaker
Aisha Rashid, is an accredited Public Relations professional since the past 39 years and an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) since 1996. She is currently Immediate Past President of the IABC Malaysia Chapter.
An M.A. Strategic Communication (U.K.) injects meaningful knowledge and skills to her role on the IABC Academy Committee. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of PR, U.K., a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of PR and she co-founded the Public Relations Consultants Association of Malaysia (PRCAM).
Throughout her extensive career, Aisha has presented papers at seminars and international conferences, authored articles on PR for Malaysian newspapers and magazines, lectured and conducted training programmes as well as organized workshops for her clients, for university and college students as well as industry professionals.
She believes strongly and is committed to the propagation of good corporate reputation through credible PR practices. As such, Aisha is active in industry activities to promote meaningful PR practices through Corporate Communication knowledge and Reputation Management that will help companies redefine their competitive positioning in relation to the strategic management of their corporate economy.

IABC Asia Pacific is seeking volunteers to help with planning and delivery of a regional conference. You’ll be working closely with the IABC Asia Pacific Director of Professional Development, and members of the Asia Pacific board.
This is an outstanding opportunity to support your chapter and may be a step in your IABC career. It’s a chance to serve with a great team that includes experienced leaders from across Asia Pacific.
IABC Asia Pacific supports chapter leaders to deliver value to their members and represents the interests of chapters at an IABC International level.

IABC chapter leaders from across the Asia Pacific Region meeting this weekend in Sydney.
Across three days, the delegates are exploring topics including value for members, strategic focus for the IABC worldwide.
Global IABC Chair Michael Ambjorn and Asia Pacific Region Chair Leanne Joyce led the delegates through a workshop that highlighted the many successes across the chapters in 2015.
Incorporating the first GCCC certification exams to be held outside North America,
there is a strong focus on providing professional development and knowledge as a foundation of the value proposition.
The LI continues today with collaborative sessions on finance, sponsorship and chapter management.
A full update, including video of the keynote session from Michael Ambjorn will be shared with regional members following the session.
